BfastThis morning I went with juice...but I had prepped it all on Sunday- pictures below! Raw10 4 lg carrots 1 small beet 1/2 bunch celery 4-5 Kale leaves 1 large handful parsley 1 large handful cilantro 1 handful spinach 1 jalapeno 1 lemon 1 lime pinch of sea salt 1 Tbs. Noni Concentrate 1/2 cup filtered water Put it all in the juicer and enjoy. Remember chew your liquids and drink your solids... digestive enzymes start with munching in the mouth! I felt great after this juice this morning but it did have more carbs than I'd like - 50grams almost 20 grams of sugar.. I like to start with much more fat and protein.. I suspect you could take out the carrots and the beet and have less carbs/sugar. Add some coconut oil in for some healthy fats! | Lunch YUMRed Salad!!!I made this Sunday night too. I try to get in the habit of prepping my lunches the night before.. I've found it just makes for a smoother morning and I don't grab crap out or go without eating. This salad was new. Again a recipe from Raw Detox. I thought it was oh so yummy and simple! Red Salad: 1/2 red beet, peeled and grated 1/4-1/2 head of red cabbage I added a handful of mustard greens and a handful of Kale 1/4 cup mint leaves 1 TBS olive oil 1TBS flax oil 1 TBS apple cider vinegar 1/2 TBS curry powder pinch of cayenne pinch of sea salt make dressing separate whisk and poor over other ingredients. Shake or toss to mix well | DinnerLeft Over Soup (frozen from last week) with grass fed and finished sausages. This one is straight from My Kitchen Cure Cookbook by Mee Tracey McCormick Ginger-Apple-Butternut Squash Soup 1 butternut squash 3 medium carrots 1 medium apple 1 small onion 1 piece ginger chopped 1 tsp tumeric 3 cloves garlic 1 TBS coconut aminos 5 cups water (I left out the brown rice and the miso because I stick to grain free and soy free) But I did add a handful of Arame! throw it in a pot, cover, and cook on medium low for about 20 minutes! Save left overs in mason jar in freezer, then grab then on a busy night like this evening! With....Sausage- then we just grilled up in a pan a couple of organic grass fed sausages and enjoyed some Bubbies Sauerkraut too! |
