This easy, quick and fun recipe is sure to make your guests' tastebuds jump for joy (or maybe it was just mine)!
Anyway it combines the nutrient/health benefits of ginger and lemongrass all in one. Lemongrass, like ginger, is anti-inflammatory and prevents damage to cells. Luteolin, found in lemongrass has the ability to hinder the growth of cancer cells! Ginger, a much more popular healing root, improves absorption of nutrients, helps a queazy tummy, reduces flatulence, and can aid in throat and nose congestion (why am I not munching on some now?)! And we all know the benefits of hydration, so tilt your cup and drink up!!
6 cups filtered water
4 2-inch pieces of ginger
heap of lemongrass (either stalks or I buy the flakes from Natural Grocers)
Boil water and then let it cool slightly
Pour warm water in mason jar
Add ginger and lemon grass
seal lid tight & let sit on counter to cool
After cool put in the refrigerator
Pull it out and serve up through a strainer when you need a refreshing kick!
