2014, I'm looking forward to the payoff of my life style changes (balance, harmony, peace, simplifying, taking time), the adventures to come, and flourishing in a different but more important kind of way- family, love, support, community and giving! Finding the sangha will be my ultimate resolution for the year, along with giving up frantically eating in my car! 2014, I'm rested, focused, ready and excited! Great read on harmony/balance/Sangha here: http://iexecuvision.com/worklife-balance-dont-make-me-laugh/
Last night as Daniel and I lay in bed around 9pm, (yes, 9pm), we enjoyed the first of many new traditions. Throughout this past year, we've been putting "laughable" moments in a jar. We forgot sometimes, we nagged each other sometimes, but in the end it was just perfect! I have to admit, as I pulled out the jar and all the little pieces of paper, I thought to myself "is this going to be boring and corny? Will we even remember or was it really that funny?" Well, as we sat there, taking turns reading one little strip of paper or another, laughter filled the room. It was hilarious, and even the ones we didn't remember, we shared a smile as if saying "oh well, it must have been funny." I felt really connected, a type of contentedness that I haven't felt in a long time. Laughter has a way of fulling up a room and just making the moment magical. I have to say, it was the perfect way to end one of the hardest years of my life. With that same irony, there are already two strips of paper in the jar for today. I'll wait to share our comical moment but just know, it was one of those tear-jerking laughing episodes! Again, just one more blessing to start the New Year!
I wish you all a year fulled with laughter, gratitude and full of life. Two quick thoughts come to mind: Namaste and the song "Imagine" by John Lennon, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRhq-yO1KN8 ~
